Welcome to Econotarps - First in Tarps that Last!
Econotarps Quality ready-made Polyethelene (PE) tarpaulins are manufactured to a high standard with Maximum UV protection and feature an Extra Heavy Duty fabric coated with a thick, abrasion resistant lamination. Strong, thick thread used on reinforced solid brass eyelets. The eyelets are spaced every 800mm and the heat reflective vivid white colour keeps it much cooler than Silver tarps - over 12% cooler surface temperature on a 36 degree C day. Guaranteed to last at least 3 years in the blistering Australian sun.

We also stock ready made Caravan Awning Tarps, PVC tarps, Canvas tarps and Mesh (Shade Cloth) tarps. Awning Tarps are suitable for caravaning, camping, off roading and also for attachment to buildings. The Keder track edge can also be fitted to PVC, canvas or mesh tarps by special order. Any tarp can have a Keder edge fitted - See the Accessories & Alterations section to order the Keder edge, then order the tarp you require it to be fitted to.

HELP SAVE OUR PLANET
HELP SAVE OUR PLANET

Help Save Our Planet: Are you a responsible consumer? Every product we buy sends a message to the manufacturer. If we insist on the very best quality, that's what the market will supply. If we insist on the lowest price, we will most likely get the poorest quality! Rather than a product that lasts for years, it may need replacement after a relatively short time. This means it will have to be made again which results in more pollution, more waste of resources and higher cost over the long term. Responsible consumers can help cut pollution dramatically in a very short time: Imagine, if every product ever made lasted twice as long, manufacturing pollution would be halved. Add to this the pollution created by producing and itransporting the raw materials and distributing the end product. There is also the cost to the consumer in the wasted time and energy involved in returning faulty items for repair or refund.

Our Philosophy: Make it right; make it once! Let's clean up our act and help clean up our only home: Mother Earth.

QUALITY GUARANTEED

Tarps made to a Standard, not a price: The most important factors to consider before purchasing a tarp are the resistance to sunlight or ultraviolet (UV) damage. Many imported polyethelene tarps last less than 12 months in the sun. Econotarps Extra Heavy Duty Tarps have a 3-year UV Pro-Rata Warranty but in practice last much longer. Other features are reinforced solid brass eyelets spaced at close intervals,  a thick waterproof lamination to resist abrasion, and strong UV resistant black thread on reinforcing.

Features:

  • Black base fabric, which blocks light completely for maximum sunlight resistance.
  • Vivid white top lamination reflects sunlight (Much cooler than silver - surface is 14 deg. C cooler on 36 deg. day).
  • Tree green bottom lamination for camouflage.
  •  All eyelets are solid brass (not just brass coated) with spikes to grip the material and reinforced with 2 layers of material using strong black, UV resistant thread.
  • Econotarps Extra Heavy Duty tarps are 25% heavier, with a thicker lamination than most "Extra Heavy Duty" tarps on the market, giving more wear resistance and better water proofing. Weight: 250grams per square metre.
  • By purchasing a quality Econotarp, you are helping the environment because you will only need to buy 1 tarp, not perhaps 2. 3 or more over time. Note: Our Extra Heavy Duty polyethelene tarps are the only ones made to our high standard.
  • Polyethelene tarps are recyclable.

The complete blocking of light prevents:

  • The growth of algae in pools.
  •  Deterioration of fibreglass boats, pools, outdoor furniture and vehicles.
  •  Sunlight damage to other items.

Uses Include: Caravan Awnings (Rope Track Tarps); Car, Boat, Caravan, Trailer Covers, Projector Screens for outdoor movies, machinery & equipment covers, flysheets over tents, pool covers, covering roofs when renovating etc.
